Meet the Team

Danny Gavigan (left), actor from the eleat video, and Terry Miller (right).

Terry Miller, CEO and founder, eleat

It all started on a beach. Terry Miller, his wife and son were on vacation in the Caribbean, waiting for what seemed like forever to order food and drinks. Then, it actually took forever to get their food and pay the bill. And after all that, they still had no idea if the food they ordered would be safe for their son’s food allergies or result in a dreaded EpiPen incident. Control, choice and convenience were completely missing. As a COO for a technology company, Terry knew technology was the answer. So he started researching mobile restaurant apps. Terry quickly discovered several options, but realized none offered dine-in, carryout, delivery, mobile payments and allergy-friendly menu listings in one app that could be used in a variety of restaurants and chains. And so eleat was born.

Using technology to increase efficiency is far from new for Terry. His background includes more than 19 years in operations, business development and public affairs for leading technology companies, where he also helped federal, state and local governments use technology to improve efficiency, transparency and security. Terry grew up in Pennsylvania. He earned a master’s in business administration from The College of William and Mary and a bachelor’s in political science from Albright College. The Millers live in the Washington, D.C., area, where they report dramatically improved dining experiences, thanks to eleat.
